It’s been four days and my pool still looks really green. It doesn’t look as green but it still looks really green and it’s hard because I can barely see the bottom of the pool so it’s hard to scoop the algae from the bottom and I have different filters and stuff than you do so it’s hard to follow your video but if you just leave a reply, maybe I’ll be able to get it, so it’ll be crystal clear

Thanks for this. I was able to replace the element on my 2008 Marquis, and now it's working fine again. I had to do considerable cleanup on the split nuts because they old gaskets had disintegrated, but it was straightforward, just tedious. The biggest problem I encountered was replacing the heater, because the new gaskets were an extremely tight fit. I took the split nuts off, and after an hour of teasing I got the gaskets seated and the heater back in place, then reassembled the split nuts and tightened them. No leaks, and all is well - thanks again!

I have a Balboa VS511Z, The heat light doesn’t come on, I have 120V on element, Heating element in circuit shows 10 Ohms. Can the heating element cause this no-heat condition?

Is it normal to have some sand in the bottom of a pool after sand change? I had none last year, and changed the sand at the beginning of the season this year (about 2 weeks ago), and there's a little building up in spots at the bottom. I have no sightglass, backwash to a storm drain, and my laterals are fixed, not hinged- so I couldn't get the assembly out for a thorough inspection. Everything seemed ok, as far as I could tell. Can you use a shop vac to suck the water out of the pipes rather than opening it up and unscrewing?

I just bought a new Hayward Pro Series sand filter, 21". During setup I put a bucket of water in the sand filter (as the instructions say) and the drain plug leaks. I played with it a bunch and couldn't get it to stop leaking. It's definitely on straight and appropriately tight. It doesn't seem to matter how tight I make it, the same amount of water is leaking out. The only thing I can think of is maybe when the sand filter top is off, and there's no sand in it, maybe it leaks on purposes? The threads aren't stripped, and there's no sand or particles in the threads. I'm pretty stumped.

You don't show how to keep water levels up. And I have air bubbles in my the pump even after I Prime it.

I have a leak similar to the one you show on your video and my pool guy is saying he may have to replace the housing. Is that possible ?

My heater is only registering 30 volts. The heater light is on but no heat.

I did everything you did basically I’m not getting 240 between the two heating elements so when I undo the plug from the circuit board, I’m not getting 240 from there. I’m only getting 120 from one side from the other side so basically the heat is only getting 120. Does that mean the boards bad or is there something that could be changed?

Why the heck are t the lines to the pump and pool shown? That would have helped a lot.

Hi, I just followed your video and I’m not getting 120v between the black and white wires. Any idea what the solution to that would be? My hot tub is not turning on, it’s acting completely dead. Red and white read 120v just fine, seems like the black wire is the issue?

Great video! I have a Beachcomber hot tub and had it closed for two years. Opened it this year and worked for 24 hours. Then heard a pop sound and fuse went. Replaced the spa pack 20a fuse connected to the hush pump motor and restarted the breaker. Then I heard some sounds and then the hush pump started smoking up and saw a flame so quickly turned it off. Guessing the motor is completely dead at that point?

I have been pulling my hair out with a low flo error. Finally worked out it was this part broken and blocking the pipe. Now to get that broken valve out.

Just installed a brand new motor and voltage is 230 like previous and now it will turn on but turns back off minutes after and smells hot.

So when you backwash it (after it’s all changed) that’s what fills the filter back up with water? I don’t have to fill it up with water?
